Among my awards are the following: the Columbia College Chicago Excellence in Teaching Award (2017); a Fulbright Teaching Fellowship (Poland 2011); a Fulbright Research Fellowship (Germany 1992); the Harmonia Grant from the Polish National Science Center (Narodowe Centrum Nauki), which funded a multi-year study of the impact of social media on the experience of international students; both the Creative Arts Prize and the Swastek Prize (for best scholarly article of the year in Polish American Studies) from the Polish American Historical Association; the DAAD fellowship at the Albert-Ludwigs Universitaet in Freiburg, Germany; an NEH Grant for the Understanding American Communities Project; Faculty Development and Technology Grants; and the Dissertation Fellowship of the American Association of University Women.
